There is so much beauty in how we all honor our loved ones who have left the physical. During this time many cultures and religions celebrate connection with the dead. It is a beautiful heartfelt sacred spiritual time felt by many. Life and death are the two universal experiences that connect us all. There are many ways but this week, All Saints day, All Souls Day, El Día de los Muertos, and many others are celebrated in many cultures around the world. Many take time to honor the special people in their family heritage that they loved as they know and believe they feel them closer during this time. I grew up in Northern California and surrounded by the Hispanic culture I was aware of the Day of the Dead, but I had little understanding of the meaning and now as a Medium my personal breadcrumb trail led me back to dig deeper into these cultural traditions. Winding down from the Halloween excitement my kids and I watched the Disney movie Coco. Yes, I know it is the Disney ......
The Greatest Adventure of my life awaits! As I am now living my purpose and openly sharing my gift of mediumship with others in service of their spiritual team and mine. That is all beautiful and great except MY EGO IS KICKING MY BUTT! Yes, I am struggling through learning Instagram, marketing, and getting myself out there so that those that need connection can find me. I'm starting to learn how to VLOG, BLOG, and dress in a regular everyday professional wardrobe. I did none of those things while serving. When you start to venture outside of your comfort zone, you realize how small and isolated your world really was. There is so much opportunity to create and this is just the BEGINNING! It is an odd feeling to be the rookie in so many new areas. Especially because I had become so comfortable in my military career. Now I have to struggle through projects and learn again. Frustrating and exciting as I see myself in new ways. While it ......
The power of MY WHY. I was watching a Rachel Hollis conference video FB post about Having Your Why that my spiritual team led me to. A special neighbor brought her into my view and I took the time to click on the recommendation. How I knew it was my team of people using the info Rachael put out as a relative tool for me? Easy, I know my breadcrumb trail and I feel when words have power. So do you, if you pay attention. I’ll walk you through how I know this is a message from my people before I give you my WHY that I am doing this Medium practice. She says, “You’ve got this”, a phrase that my mentor uses and it carries so much power for me. In fact those three words are the reason I was able to lose 15 lbs and inches to pass my physical fitness test in 2016 when I was struggling and avoiding the truth. On a quick check in she texted me those words and it gave me the energy to move. Those words gave me the courage to go against the self doubting bitch in my head aka fear to sit in the......
Written By AWOCS (NAC/AW) Retired Anjenelle Kelly "After standing in the closet trying to let go." I served 20 years and 12 of those years I spent wearing Khakis as a Navy Chief Petty Officer. This is not a congratulatory letter nor will it contain the repeats of “Trust the Mess,” “Be the Chief,” “Take care of your Sailors,” “Remember where you came from” etc. My active duty brothers and sisters in the Mess have already taken care of that for you. The day you are pinned and wear the crisp new khakis there is a hangover of triumph as you try to take in the whole experience from the final test of The Final Night. Your uniform still smells like the Nex as the tags were just recently removed but soon enough they will tell a different story as your leadership story unfolds. A living time capsule of sorts, your khakis become the portrait and new identity of you. Faster than you can conceive of it will be two months after your day of retirement from the Navy and you wi......
After watching Disney’s Mary Poppins Returns and the Original The multitude of the spiritual messages are apparent and i can see how my people are using them to lift me up on during this period of big change in my life. Friday while driving home I passed the large park I live by and I saw a remote control airplane flying in the sky. I hear and see an image of a kite int he sky and think about how I don’t do the simple fun things with the kids. I find it hard to wind down to that much of a relaxed, be in the moment state. Later that evening sure enough on my iTunes Mary Poppins Return pops up and of course we have have to watch it-on a school night…… It wasn’t until the end of the movie during the song nowhere to go but up when they play the melody of Let’s Go Fly a Kite comes on briefly that I remembered seeing the kite in my head and my people telling me I need to connect with the simple things again and find Joy. Topsy Turvy is my daughters favorite and is so relevant to my li......
When we constantly are on the Know Thyself Journey we come into the awareness of parts of ourself that we put a blind eye to. The darker side of ourselves, the ugliness that we ignore. I have identified the beasts within me, their names are “The Need to Control”, “Lack Of Trust”, “Jealousy,” “Denial,” “Unbridled Fear” “Suppressed Anger” and there are more I haven’'t consciously met yet. They pop up when I don’t expect them to, and have their own running dialogue that goes through my head, that isn’t really mine and it is definitely NOT Spirit. I’ve learned if you haven’t met and faced them and named them, catching the beast before it influences your actions, you become the Beast. Now I am able to catch them sometimes and tell them to stop it before they take over. It has taken me the last few years of self study to be able to do that. I don’t like what I see when I look at the beast, it is ugly and feels icky and doesn’t match the core of me. I have to trace its roots, wher......
