The grandest and most exciting adventure I have been on is the one I experienced while searching within myself. I have been all over the world, to the Sistine Chapel, the French countryside, the waters of Africa, the Fjords of Norway and have even seen Davinci’s David with my own eyes. All of it pales in comparison to the experience of Spirits ability to show me the beauty locked deep within myself. When I hurt, I seek for answers. My own “Know Thyself” Journey started with the courage to contemplate my life’s history. This was hard, frustrating work that I stubbornly resisted, even deciding at one point that briefly remembering the past would cover it. It did not and my people let me know with a good scolding. When I started opening those old doors the memories and moments came into focus with a new adult view of it, like standing on a mountain top. Spirit took me there slowly and knew my threshold. The answers and deep knowing already was within me but, I needed outside confirmation and personal validation that I wasn’t “crazy” or “making it up.” Our loved ones want to help us grow and heal old hurts while finding the Truth. They showed me what I needed, NOT what I wanted.
